YT-2000 Transport adapted from X-Wing Alliance by Patrick Stutzman

Released on the open market shortly after the Battle of Yavin IV, the YT-2000 was meant to be a more up-to-date version of its cousin, the YT-1300. Having a lot of the same systems and designs as the YT-1300, the two ships are virtually identical with the exception of the YT-2000 having more cargo space and the cockpit extending from between the mandibles instead of from the side. The YT-2000 improves on the defense systems of the YT-1300 by having two laser cannons (one on top and one on bottom) installed instead of one. (The YT-2000 has 20 emplacement points built into its design and only uses 12 in its stock configuration, leaving 8 to allow for defense system modifications by future owners. In addition, the YT-2000 has two escape pods, located on the left and right sides of the main saucer, and are easily reachable from the cockpit.
