| Following after the failed plans of a fighter class called the Snowstorm, the T-57 Blizzard was designed to be a heavy support starfighter. After the initial announcement of the plans for the T-57 and its anticipated improvements over the Snowstorm, initial orders were much higher than expected. As a result of the sudden demand for the new ship, the designers had to rush to complete the new plans. At this time, no performance flaws resulting from the hastily-completed plans have been witnessed.   The T-57 is most widely encountered providing support on the front lines of battle where extensive firepower is required. Of all its weapons, one weapon system is still in the experimental stages. The plasma cannon is an experimental point-blank range weapon that fires bursts of superheated plasma. It requires 8 emplacement points and costs 5,000 credits per cannon. Since this weapon is proprietary to the designers of the T-57, only their company can service the weapon system.
