| Originally designed and developed on the world of Selene by Rebellion loyalists working for an Imperial shipbuilding company, the S-5 Vampire starfighter was designed primarily to be a reconnaisance vessel. Its use by the Rebellion has earned this ship the nickname of "the Fat Boy". The S-5 has proven itself to be slower and less maneuverable than its counterpart, the T-9 Tornado. However, various performance reviews have indicated that this starfighter is best suited for escorting military supply ships. Recent rumors state that an upgraded version of the S-5, nicknamed "Bloodletter", will soon be released to replace the Vampire. However, recent galactic events have postponed the release of the Bloodletter, granting the Vampire a prolonged market life. |
