| Kyli Ned'Ix is a Verpine that just wants some adventure in his life and wants to join the Farstar to accomplish that. Unfortunately, his request to sign on was rejected despite his superior technical skills. The command staff believed that his constant jury-rigging and unorthodox upgrades would jeopardize the ship's equipment and crew. Not dismayed by the rejection, Ned'Ix found an old Ghtroc 720 freighter, repaired most of it with junk parts left behind by Imperial and New Republic forces on Kal'Shebbol, stored more "spare parts" in the ship's cargo hold and set out to follow the ship through the Kathol sector. Ned'Ix attempts to assist the Farstar in any way possible, usually through repairing and modifying equipment to suit their needs. He enjoys rushing in at the last minute to save the day. In exchange for his help, the crew usually just gives him a little recognition and a hand with supplies and direction. (His navigation skills are not that good.) However, Ned'Ix is prone to getting himself into trouble, primarily with the Imperial forces, bounty hunters and other hostiles that are lurking about the sector. Ned'Ix can help the Farstar as much as he hinders. Sometimes, he needs to be rescued. Other times, he inadvertantly leads the Farstar's enemies to them. Still other times, he winds up saving the heroes. Through it all, his intentions are good; he just wants to help.
