In the times of ancient Yvara before the Yvarema developed technology, the Majjvara would fulfill her purpose within a highly protected area of the hive by laying eggs and creating the various classes of her people. With the utilization of modern technology, the Majjvara's egg-laying process has been eliminated and replaced with producing embryonic cells that complete their development within specialized scientifically-advanced incubators. Since the Majjvara no longer lays eggs, her lifespan has greatly increased. The current Majjvara is near the end of her 400-year lifespan, and she is preparing a new Majjvara egg as her replacement. The Majjvara is able to create and introduce new classes into Yvareman society but generally avoids doing so, mainly because the society is currently at a stable, self-sufficient level, and the production of new classes is very taxing for her.
