'Gammer' Firdaaz

The Socorran known as "Gammer" Firdaaz, despite his age, is an experienced scout who uses his skills to help the crew of the Farstar explore uncharted planets.

Like many others on board, he has his own reasons for signing on to the crew. He wants to see as much as he can of the unexplored galaxy before he dies. A worthy cause, but his drinking problem doesn't help him achieve it. Half the time he's awake, Gammer is either drunk or drinking some sort of alcoholic beverage. When he's not drunk, he is grumpy and unwilling to follow orders, unless he is promised something in return. He could care less for his life aboard ship and is happiest when his feet are on solid ground, preferably a new planet that he can explore.

Gammer feels that he knows best in any given situation and is not afraid to let others know his thoughts on the matter. In fact, he acts as if he is captain of the ship from time to time, which doesn't set well with Captain Ciro or First Officer Adrimetrum. But, he has his own group of followers that enjoy drinking with him, and they can usually be found in some secluded corner of the ship getting drunk on some alcohol that has been smuggled aboard.
