H3 Series Heavy Weapons Droid

As the Clone Wars raged on, Separatist leaders determined that more firepower was needed to accompany infantry groups. Earlier in the war, sending a droideka was sufficient, but that option became more expensive and less practical as the droid armies continued to be spread thin and moved to strategic locations to protect the worlds they already held.
The H3 heavy weapons droid was designed to be a cheaper alternative to add to the ranks of infantry droids for the sole purpose of providing heavy weapons support. Modeled after the B2 Series Super Battle Droid and often confused for the rocket variant of the B2 series, the H3 sports two blaster cannons mounted on its shoulders, allowing it to concentrate its firepower in any direction around it while also keeping its hands free for other duties. Criticized by some as having unnecessary appendages, the H3 has shown its effectiveness in the field, especially at the Battle of Duro.
Even though the H3 comes standard equipped with two blaster cannons, the shoulder mounts may be fitted with heavy repeating blasters or missile launchers, the latter choice blamed for the confusion between the H3 and the B2 rocket variant.
