Dahren Telssaran

Dahren Telssaran spent most of his childhood on his homeworld of Kuat. His father, a local senator, was highly respected by the local populace, and Dahren reaped many of the benefits of such a life. His interaction with high society allowed him to meet many people from different worlds, including a man by the name of Crix Madine.
  Eventually, Chancellor (soon to become Emperor) Palpatine's New Order started to show its true colors, much to Dahren's distaste. He asked his father to express disfavor of Palpatine's methods, but discovered to his shock that his father approved of them. After several heated arguments, the rift between him and his father developed into an uncrossable chasm. Dahren spent his savings on a ship and left home with several friends that agreed with his philosophy.
  Dahren and his "crew" decided to fight the Empire in their own way, by becoming pirates and attacking Imperial supply lines in the Mid-Rim. Based out of Garos IV, the crew of the Light of Liberty led many successful raids against supply ships heading to and from the Core. In fact, they became local heroes for the people of Garos IV and began seeing other ships volunteering to join his fleet.
  Their underground popularity eventually reached the ears of the Rebellion which brought an invitation to meet with them at a predetermined location. Not taking any chances, Dahren went with several ships from his fleet to the meeting to discover that he had gained favor with someone he met years ago: Crix Madine. Impressed with his methods, General Madine recruited Dahren into the Rebellion.
  Now, Dahren and his crew perform missions, such as protecting supply shipments and escorting capital ships with high-ranking Rebel officers on board, with pride and the knowledge that they are performing their job for the good of the galaxy.
